Garden's Market and American Football match

Garden's Market

On Saturday morning, 29th of September, we went to the Garden's Market in Logan. This is a place where local people sell vegetables, fruit, hand-made things of different types and local food. What surprised me most in that place was a spindle and the woman who was spinning wool yarn. It isn't a common view today!

American Football match

Then, in the afternoon, we went to an American Football match. I still have problems with understanding the game despite explanations which we received from Steven.

However, it was great to experience a real game and watch people's reactions and the whole setting of the match with marching band and dancing cheerleaders.

My first days in Logan

22 high school teachers from all over the world came to Logan, Utah on 21st of September. We were tired after an almost 7-hour journey, but really enthusiastic and excited about things which were going to happen to us. We were met by Nathan Smith and Steven Camicia after coming to the hotel, what was nice of them and we felt expected.

Utah State University
We scarcely knew each other from Washington, where we first met.  We started to get to know each of us and our names. It was difficult at the beginning because of different languages and pronunciations. But after 3 days we managed to remember either names or countries we come from.

The campus is quite big with modern  buildings and wide footpaths. There are a lot of flowerbeds which decorate the edges of the paths. This is a really peaceful place.
